Dr Jo Canning (Griggs)

  Currently,  Dr Jo is an artist in residence at Montsalvat, Eltham. Jo’s professional background spans 45 years in all arts as an author, teaching Vic Arts Centre, dancing (Aust. Ballet Co.), acting MTC, in advocacy and as a researcher in disability & neuroscience VU & UniMelb including The Royal Children's Hospital. 

Jo lives with her family, husband Adam, and twins Mia and Ruben. Adam and Jo are strong ability advocates and have designed programs to enlighten potential. For Jo this focus began at 14 teaching dance to individuals with vision impairment or Down Syndrome. Having taught thousands, Jo's  vision continues to thrive!!
