The Artist Coop is a Montsalvat artisan studio celebrating inclusive practices in art. Jo's history in art, advocacy, teaching & behavioural science is extensive. Her skills combine to bring joyful art projects to life. Contact Jo with any queries or inspirations you want to follow.
Bluey the Peacock was the inspiration for this painting and the "Coop" within our studio name. Come visit Patches or Jack (our peacocks) or Snowy (our white peacock), and don't forget the geese, chickens and ducks!!

Jo offers a wide range of programmes for people of all ages and skill levels, including art classes, NDIS Easel Access in the community for people with disabilities, workshops, parties and public projects. Enjoy if you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, there is something for everyone at THE ARTIST COOP.

Students in home education can make significant headway in art, & enjoy friendships with other home ed students in a real artist studio. Speak with Jo about any medical, physical or cultural needs. Jo works well with all artist including those with anxiety or disability.

This group brings people together for step by step acrylic art class. we paint landscapes, seascapes, pets and still-life (group decides on the subject). Book now and rock up. All materials are included, with dip & cheese platter, tea and coffee supplied

The Environment of the Coop
The studio/gallery is part of Monsalvat's stables, close to the top gate next to the white peacock (Snowey's) coop. Step outside the studio to visit artisan buildings and glorious gardens. Close by you meet the birds of Montsalvat. Step inside the studio where you can see and smell artistic process. The hand crafted rustic white walls are heritage and the materials inside are comprehensive for all styles of work. Make the studio your own and work towards exhibiting on the walls in the studio gallery.
